Let’s meet on Las Olas

If you want to meet in Fort Lauderdale, meet on Las Olas. I don’t mean just for conferences and business meetings. The boulevard is a great place to get together – for families, for friends, for groups, for partying, for art, for shopping, for dining … or just for fun.

Las Olas is a wonderful meeting place for families because there’s something for everyone; from the littlest kids to great grandma! Oh, and even for the family dog. All our restaurants, cafes and bakeries are very kid-friendly and most are dog-friendly too. In fact, we have a dog park and even a grooming salon. For the human kids, a water taxi ride is always an adventure, especially if it takes them to the Museum of Discovery and Science where they can happily spend all day. And if swimming is on the agenda, you don’t need to go to the beach. The Riverside Hotel’s gorgeous pool is available to non-residents at a daily or weekly rate.

For partying, you’ll have a hard time choosing where to go on Las Olas. Starting at the eastern end of the boulevard, there’s Rocco’s Tacos which is always lively and open until the early hours. Further west is the famous Mangos – with live music every night. Continuing along the boulevard, you’ll find American Social with its forty two beers on tap. Big City Tavern is a lively venue too but we have even more. Going further west you’ll come to YOLO (You Only Live Once), Vibe and the newly opened Royal Pig. And when you’re all partied out, revive yourself with breakfast at the Floridian Diner, which is open twenty four hours every day.

Speaking of the Floridian, I wish those walls could speak. Did you know that many a huge business deal has been discussed, debated and sealed right there? But if you’re looking for full conference and meeting facilities, the Riverside Hotel is perfect for you. And when the business day is done, you have the whole boulevard to enjoy. Or if you’re looking to take a client to lunch or to dinner, there are so many place to choose from on Las Olas – from casual to fine dining.

Las Olas is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, an anniversary, a wedding, a graduation or any special event. If you’re interested in the arts, we have the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale right here and many independent galleries too. And watch out for public art as you walk along the boulevard.   If you’re an artist yourself, set up your easel! For groups interested in architecture we have amazing buildings ranging from the early 1900s to modern times. Photographers too will find a wealth of subjects. Gourmets have plenty to choose from and not just our restaurants, cafes and bakeries – look out for our specialist gourmet stores too. Shop at our Sunday Farmer’s Market. Fashion lovers come to Las Olas every day knowing that they’ll find the latest here from formal attire to beachwear. If history interests you, we have the oldest hotel and the oldest home in Fort Lauderdale. Be pampered at our spas and salons. Bargain hunt in the stores at the Las Olas Village in the eastern end of the boulevard. Oh, and the boulevard is probably the most romantic street for miles around.

So much to do! But maybe you just want to relax? Las Olas is perfect for that too. Stroll along the boulevard, have a glass of wine, sit by the New River and watch the boats go by …

Enjoy!
